A Guide to Help Children Bring Their Ideas into Reality!

Deliberately using our imagination to help co-create the life we desire is a fundamental skill-set that is underutilized by the majority of the population. While many authors are brilliantly expanding this knowledge in adults, there are very few books that sow this concept in the roots of the future – our children. Imagine That! explores the creative and fertile ground of the mind and helps children put in place a process for developing ideas from thought to reality.

Imagination is a universally appealing topic and a skill that needs to be cultivated in our children. With the help of Imagine That!, parents will have a fun way to educate their children about growing their ideas into reality. This book compares the similarity between bringing ideas to life and the process of growing seeds into plants. The concept of planting an idea seed is delivered in a simple, playful rhyme and the illustrations that accompany each verse visually reinforce the steps. Useful concepts are discussed such as clearing the mind of negative thoughts, taking action toward your end result, focusing on joy and gratitude, and learning to ignore the “bugs” that may not want you to succeed.

The back pages of the book are designed to be used as a discussion generator between parents and kids. All 9 verses of the metaphorical rhyme are expanded upon to help children understand how to apply the concepts. Here is an example how the first verse was expanded

Imagine that an idea is a seed, Where would you plant it, What would it need

Consider focused thought to be a seed that you can grow into reality in the future.

Imagined concepts, or ideas, are literally the first forms of existence before anything becomes reality. Before this book was written, it was an idea. Before the computer was created, somebody imagined a “computing machine”. Nothing is ever created without first being an idea. A good discussion to have about this verse is how an idea is comparable to planting a real seed. Your mind is the planting ground for all idea seeds, your joyful emotions are the sunlight it needs to grow, and the actions you take to achieve your goals are equivalent to tilling the soil, pulling weeds, and watering your plant.

It’s also valuable to discuss the level of focus that is placed on an idea. It’s important to understand that just because information pops into your head does not mean you are planting an idea seed. You have to choose to focus on it. You have to maintain a desire to bring it into reality. And you have to take continual action to care for your seed as if you were planting and raising an actual plant. We can acknowledge an idea, or thought, without choosing to focus on it which will usually result in forgetting the thought after a few seconds. We can also ponder the thought, mull it around in our mind for a while and make a conscious choice to forget it, or grow it. Finally, once we wish to grow our idea, we can focus on it intently, visualizing every aspect of what it would take to bring it into reality, and begin taking action toward our desired end state.

Imagination is the playground of our consciousness where the moving pictures in our minds serve to preview, review, rehearse and project the desired outcomes of our lives and become thus deliberate creators of our destiny. Children are natural in this playground.

Parents who are aware of this gift, who acknowledge, cherish and nurture it in their children, are promoting the next generation of leaders with the potential to turn our planet into the paradise it is meant to be.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge" said Einstein. Lucky are the children exposed to these concepts from a young age. Nothing could give them a better head start in life.

This book provides the much needed means for parents to share these concepts with their children, so they can avoid the usual struggles in life, and head for success, health and happiness as the natural consequences of their understanding and utilizing this precious gift.

Great story, amazing illustrations, and one that I wish my own kids would read every day to increase self-worth, dreaming, imagining, and forward thinking.
This book begins with well drawn illustrations and poetic sentences on planting the seeds of creativity. It goes on to provide very informative lessons on creativity and how this process takes place. This is an inspirational guide. My daughter grew bored, but I shall reopen this book again and again until she gets it. Great book! Highly recommended.
What an awesome parental tool for parents who read this book and desire that their children reach for the dreams and thoughts of the imagination that can one day make them secure, happy and striving to be all they can be! I know the authors have raised their children from day one with this concept and all the encouragement they can give to allow them to imagine the posibilities of what they will one day become and do. It is such an inspiring book for parents and children in a culture that is negative and fighting against all that is good and possitive in our society. The youth today lack parental encouragement, love and guidance and fall sadly short of the potential that "could have been". Don't allow that to happen to your children. Use this book as a tool to help them be all that they can be and not only will you be blessed and proud of your children, but the world will be a better place because you took the time to care! )
There is a strong imagination shown in the development of the graphics within this book. There are 9 images with a rhyming verse in each that steps up the imagination of a child reading the book. Each image builds on the previous. There are an additional 14 pages of suggestions that a parent can use in reading this book to their child. Perhaps the subject matter is a little too deep for the child and even the parent. I give the book 4 stars mainly based on the development of the superb graphic design of the book.
Plant the seeds of courage in your children from an early age. Let them dream but also help them to find the way to accomplish their dreams. I love the message of this book and the beautiful illustrations too. It suits children in the primary school ready to conquer the world. At the end of the book there is a short discussion about how to avoid let other people put your down and how to discourage negative thinking.
Kevin and Stephanie Mullani's book called Imagine That! may seem to just be for kids when you first begin enjoying the illustrations and poetry, but it is so much more. When I read through this book, I was impressed with the illustrations that captured the meaning of the poetry so well--especially because trying to capture abstract thoughts into tangible illustrations is not always easy, but they have done a masterful job.

Once you read through the "kid's" part of the book, there is some helpful discussions for parents to share with both young and older children. Funny thing, though, is while you are sharing these thoughts with your child, you find yourself evaluating your own life which can motivate you as well. This book helps you to analyze what you have accomplished in your own life and offers some great inspiration for facing and bringing to fruition dreams and ideas you may have had of your own.

Imagine That! is definitely worth the money and the time it will cause you and your children to spend together. Don't miss this one!
This is one of those books that can cover a wide span of ages. It is motivational and encouraging, about positive thinking, and about being creative. (Where would we be without creative people!)

It is a nicely illustrated, very colorful book that a parent could read to a young child as well as an older child reading for encouragement. The message is clear Be creative and be positive. Dare to dream as big as you can dream and don't let voices of doubt tell you no. For those who know about the Law of Attraction, this book puts its concepts into easy to understand pictures and examples.

Another special thing about this little book is that it encourages the parent to read it to or with the child and discuss the inner concepts in a way that will help the child get the full meaning. Excellent parent discussion notes are at the end of the book to help the parent.

This is the kind of book that will encourage and motivate your child. I highly recommend this book for the positive message it portrays.
